La Joya Real is located in the San Felipe-Puertecitos-Gonzaga Bay Corridor, in the city of Puertecitos, Ensenada county, Baja California, Mexico. This corridor is located on the north-east coast of the Baja Peninsula, directly adjacent to Mexican Highway 5. Our property is approximately 175 miles south of the California border at Mexicali.

The town of Puertecitos evokes the true essence of 'escape'-a precious little dot on the map of the beautiful Baja peninsula. Unspoiled and largely untouched due to its relative inaccessibility until 2008, when the road into Puertecitos was paved anew and provided easy passage for eager travelers and adventure seekers.

As we see it, the potential for Puertecitos is unique in that it has all the hope of evolving into a destination spot - with such dynamic get-aways at the Matomi Oasis waterfalls just 25 miles to the west of our location and hot springs both in the mountains behind us and sitting right on the water's edge just 4 miles south - this and other natural wonders are now reachable for virtually the first time fron not only the north but also from the south. A brand new, coastal highway that will eventually connect to Highway 1 on the west coast is on the verge of completion and already stretches majestically along this pristine coastline

Our boutique commuinty will be a low-density neighborhood, nestled between the highway and the coast; with an aim to have minimal impact on the surrounding flora and fauna. These 50 private acres, La Joya Real will pomote a feeling of exclusivity, while retaining natural charm and character. As we have been made more aware of the adverse affects of light polution, our goal is to develop a low-impact residential community that harmonizes with and appreciates the natural environment thereby ensuring continued enjoyment of this special destination for generations to come.
