Why Now?

As we’ve mentioned throughout, the construction of the new, Trans-peninsular Highway opens up a new level of opportunity to what has up til this point been a very remote and modest fishing village.  This new Highway connects Highway 5 on the Northeastern Coast of the Baja Peninsula (which begins at the border in Mexicali) with Highway 1 on the West Coast (which extends all the way south to Cabo San Lucas on the Southern tip of Baja).  The junction between these two highways is located approximately two miles South of the entrance to La Joya Real and opens up a whole world of possibilities for not only our development, but for Puertecitos and the entire region as well.
